  • Productivity = Deposition Rate × Arc Time × (Efficiency ÷ 100)
  • Total productivity = sum of each welder’s individual productivity
  • Average per welder = Total productivity ÷ number of valid welders
  • Average efficiency = sum of each welder’s efficiency ÷ number of valid welders

Say you have three welders on a shift. Welder A deposits 4.2 kg over 6 hours, Welder B deposits 3.8 kg over 6 hours, and Welder C deposits 5.1 kg over 6 hours. That’s 13.1 kg total across 18 combined labor-hours — roughly 0.73 kg/hour average per welder. If your shop’s target efficiency is 0.80 kg/hour, that crew is running at about 91% of target.
